The Hiram M. Chittenden Locks (also known as the Ballard Locks), Seattle, Washington, USA. Listed (along with the Lake Washington Ship Canal) on the National Register of Historic Places, ID #78002751. The locks connect saltwater Shilshole Bay to Salmon Bay (which became a freshwater bay because of the locks).
